The beginning of a journey: 250 miles and 3 days journey through dense rainforest, Holly Morris travels by cargo boat down one of the remotest stretches of the Amazon, in Peru. Sleeping in a hammock at night, she shares deck space with over 200 local Peruvians, and countless boxes of vegetables and fruit, heading to the largest city in the Peruvian Amazon, Iquitos.

One time from Pucallpa Peru to Iquitos, a trip suppose to take 8 days, ended up taking 21 days, getting stuck often, we ran out of food, so we went Crocodile hunting so we could eat, you could not buy an adventure like that from a tour operator. Henri boats are the best, good food and safe.

get a big hammock; sleep sideways instead of U-shape; Brazilian Style….look it up. Also, earphones + "white noise" on you smartphone drowns out 80% of the noise; better than earplugs.

This reminds me of one river in my hometown, Mahakam, Borneo, Indonesia. Although we don't have boats this big. But we do have river dolphin as well.
