you must be very fit if you can ride the bike without the electric , tis very hard to do !!
I love watching your travels , you are very good at your job and seem a very nice person .
Ear plugs would help with wind, the orange throwaway sort.
Ruth, it is just Orkney, no need for islands or isles etc. At least that's what the local guide that showed us around Stromness (pronounce Strumniss!) said.
Not everything went wrong. Keep on riding.
1:14 – that hideous monstrosity in fact carries up to 4,900 passengers! It's absolutely ridiculous allowing ships that size to dock in a place like Kirkwall. And I speak as someone who went there in 2012, albeit on a much smaller vessel.
TE AMO MI AMOR SALUDO DESDE COSTA RICA❤
Thanks 😊
18:19 Donkey standing there judging you! Great content as always Ruth, thank you.
My dear, if I ever come your way, it would be nice to say hello.
Ruth’s perfectionist attitude reminds me of someone close to me. This is my latest favorite creator. I’ve got to hand it to her for going on all these relatively difficult trips. Also, great so see a creator with values I can relate to whilst making the best of technology to root out all this gems. Scotland board of tourism ought to make her an ambassador of some sort, or give certain journeys the RUTH stamp of approval. If it were 20 years ago I’d say she has a travel book in the works, or handbook. She is a real fo t of information. I studied in England in 1992, I did go to Edinburgh from London on a bus, but regretted not going to Skye. There was nothing like this back then.
Ruth, you astound me with your enthusiasm. From my armchair that island was unprepossessing at best, but you still managed to get excited about the old petrol bowser. The world would be a happier place if we all followed your lead. Much love to you from Australia xx
A breath of fresh air you certainly are.
👍👍
Those monster cruise ships should be made illegal. Mass tourism at its worst.
Ruth, often it’s the mistakes that lead us to the greatest, unplanned adventures. ❤to🏴 from 🇦🇺
Hi ruth, i hope you are well and good. I enjoyed the video thank you🌟🙋
Even with hiccups you deliver ruth.. keep going.. you are a breath of fresh air to us all. ❤
3.5 years to pick up soap in the showers.
Terrific vid as usual, Ruth. What you said about wanting to take a shower after swimming in the sea? Never used to bother me until I took a dip in the Dead Sea on a trip to Israel & Jordan a few years ago. Well, never again. Felt like I couldn’t breathe upon getting out & spent the next four days showering two or three times a day in an attempt to get the salty feeling off. Nightmare.
Sanday is a beautiful island for cycling, very few hills. Rousay is superb for its megalithic tombs and has far fewer visitors than Mainland Orkney where the big cruise ships disgorge their many passengers.
