You've been very helpful Thank you!😊
Before a European vacation I researched my Anker Zolo – it is acceptable (and also wasn’t on the recall list from awhile back). I will only buy Anker products!
Laurie, nice informative video. You are very relate-able. Nice presentation skills.
Power banks are not allowed in the Vatican Museums.
I have very high and 5000 mAh torch bicycling torch that's what I am using as a power bank plus torch.
Thank you as always for your great tips and keeping us updated especially for those who don't fly that often
Bringing on my carry-on or personal item bag, 3 rechargeable hand-held/portable fans on Singapore Airlines for a summer vacation. Each has a low powered lithium battery in it. Do you think this is fine? Thank you.
Alcohol has been the cause of an airplane fire. And also, chlorine could cause quite a problem if it were to spill. Those are just common sence rules. But I appreciate Laurie, for always keeping us up to date!
I use clutch batteries. Do you think those would be ok?
What about w/c batteries?
You made my two weeks in the Netherlands so much fun and unstressed! You are an amazing teacher! Tak! from a retired teacher!
Can one person is allowed to have one carry on and personal stuff to them while traveling or you just need a carry one only?
Just even regular lithium batteries can combust if not transported carefully. The UPS facility in Grand Prairie had a huge fire from that a few years ago!
What are the new 2025 rules regarding traveling with a cpap machine?
Anker is recalling over a million power banks due to fire risk!!!
No, the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) did not ban portable computer chargers.
Questions can I carry a box of chocolates?
Its funny when Anker first came out mid 2000s I thought it was a cheap brand and now they're like a brand name. A lot of things that are knock offs look exactly like my Anker stuff
Did u say bear spay or hair spray
Another tip is not use your phone while it is charging. This causes the chargers to heat up as well.
before long they are going to band PEOPLE …we drive to cruise ports and cruise now…air ports are just to crazy now.
Laurie, you are a traveller’s greatest treasure! I have been watching your videos for a few years now, and you have been ever so helpful. Thank you for doing updates and keeping us up to date on changes, and new tips you have learned. All airlines should use your videos. Thank you, and happy, safe travels ❤🤗
Love all your tips. I am watching your old videos now too. And – your accent fascinates me
Laurie, if you are going to provide cautionary tips like these about topics like powerbanks, you should do more research on these topics before providing tips. For example, the term is "thermal runaway", not "thermal runway". The definition is in one of my other comments.
mAh (Milliampere-hours) – a unit of measurement that indicates the capacity of a battery, representing how much electric charge it can store. A higher mAh rating means the battery can deliver more power for a longer period before needing to be recharged.
The term is "thermal runaway", NOT "thermal runway". Thermal runaway is a process where an increase in temperature causes a reaction that releases more heat, leading to a further increase in temperature in a self-sustaining cycle. This phenomenon can occur in chemical reactions, electrical systems, and particularly in lithium-ion batteries, often resulting in dangerous situations like fires or explosions.
I have never heard anyone talk so slow in my entire life. Goodness.
Bear spray, chlorine, model glue, and several other items have been banned for years. There has always been an alcohol limit but not sure what the limit was before. Even hair sprays in checked luggage – you can have 1 large can but not many. There really are lots of rules and that TSA website you gave is a great reference. We as airline employees use it all the time.
That was an old iPhone, shame on you stay up to date.
Cathay Pacific will only allow power bank in your personal bag under seat, but would not allow to use it during the flight. The airport in China would like to check the power bank in person to allow you even bringing to the plane. This is what I learned from a recent trip to mainland China and HongKong this year. 😅
Hi Laurie, I am going on Rhine river cruise trip for 19 days, can you help me with packing. Eg how many trousers / skirts and T-shirts would you take place?😊
Do you have a link for the gold pouch?
Interested in the astronaut clothing bag. Go to the beach often and need that.
Laurie! I was struggling to listen to you bc I kept thinking, “Her hair looks so good!!!!!”
After watching your video, I checked my charger and gladly found that it is acceptable! It’s also a solar powered charger. BTW, I love your accent! I’m a southerner & was just told I talk funny when I was in Bogota! I just smiled! 😊. Thanks for sharing your experience and information!
Love the flamingo
Just traveled to Australia and New Zealand. In my checked luggage was a replacement battery for my toothbrush. It was confiscated by Qantas or Air New Zealand (cannot remember which carrier I was on at that time) along with a note about batteries.
So, just checked the slim is for i phones. What is good for androids
😊 Hi Laurie, I love your tips and so very useful. Getting ready to make an overseas trip. 👍✈️
And keeping all of your tips in mind. 💯✅
Can I make a suggestion for those who do not have an apple phone? Can you give alternate resources for buying items on Amazon,🤔💡
that are compatible to android devices, also 📱🤖
I always look for Anker products first! I've also heard that TSA would be looking for portable chargers noting wattage and how many are in carry on bags because of this. Putting them in your personal item bag is a good tip. Also, I usually carry multiple for the family but may split them up if TSA is wanting to limit how many are in one bag. Thanks Laurie!
It was confusing to me when I read that aerosols were banned in carry-on or checked bags. Wondered about hair spray. After searching around a bit, I finally saw clarification that aerosols like hair spray are okay to pack as long as its cap is carefully secured so that it won’t accidentally discharge the spray mid-flight.
Good job
