We are going in june next year for 2 weeks. We are doing a northern loop from bergen. The farthest we will go in Andalsnes (have to drive the trollstigen.), then west maybe to Alesund and back to bergen. Still in the planning phase. We will probably stay in 2 towns other than bergen.
Are there any towns you recommend staying in that loop where we can access good hiking/day trips?

A few corrections: Odda is not a fishing town, it’s an industrial town. The colourful wooden houses on the harbour in Bergenis called Bryggen and they are ca 700 years old. Bergen is founded in 1070
