tips for if youβre nervous:
#1: if itβs the heights that gets you, then thereβs a few things you can do! If you donβt sit by the window, it can help so you donβt see the ground. If youβre still scared, pretend youβre in a car. If you convince your brain that you are, the nerves might settle. If that doesnβt work, you can read a book or watch a movie to take your mind off it!
#2: if you donβt like the speed, then you donβt have to be scared! The only time you can feel the speed is takeoff and landing. In the air, you can barely feel it.
#3: if youβre scared of crashing or something bad happening, donβt be! Iβve flown so many times in my life since I was a few months old, and not once has anything bad happened. The worst thing that happened was turbulence, which is completely normal. Itβs just like a bumpy road in a car! Crashing or something bad like that is extremely rare. They make sure these pilots have loads of experience. crash incidents have lowered drastically throughout time and they continue to.
Overall, I suggest that you face your fears! Lifeβs too short, so just do it! I promise, itβs not as scary as it looks

If you are flying for the first time try to get a ride to the airport if you can. A lot of bigger airports charge for parking so if it is possible try to have someone take you and drop you off and pick you up when you get back. On the way back you can give the person picking you up your flight information such as the airline and the flight number so they can track it and see if you are on time.
