Superb travel advice. I can relate to all 200 tips, having used about 195 of them myself
Love the video and all the extra tips in the comments! My frequent traveler tip is to use a 'Croakie' style retainer strap made for eye glasses – and attach the rubber ends to your noise-cancelling air pods while you sleep on the plane. Then you don't need to worry about losing them if they fall out as you sleep, and you don't need to carry the bulky, over the ear headphones!
One more thing! Always carry an extra phone that you leave with your luggage when you go out. If your phone gets snatched and you have no replacement. You're essentially cooked!
Doesn't even need to be a premium flagship phone, just get a $200 up to date mid-range that is going to give you all the basics that you need.
Same with banks and credit cards.
Haven’t even made it to the end of the video and as a frequent traveler myself, this is really great advice! Another recommendation I would have for the accommodation section would be ear plugs. I used some premium ear plugs I got online while backpacking around Europe at hostels and it was a game changer at the noisier ones! Very little sleep disturbance.
Awesome
At 12.52 when taking pics of your rental car before driving it, don't forget to include the wheels. It's often hard to avoid a kerb scrape in an unfamiliar car and believe me, rental cos will charge for every tiny ding.
At 14.07 good foam earplugs are a lifesaver in noisy hotels. Also on overnight planes.
At 23.30 I'd include an offline copy of your doctor's prescription for any meds you're carrying (and keep those meds in their original packs – little baggies of loose pills may be easier to pack but can arouse suspicions…).
Re the very last point if you're going somewhere well off the beaten track consider packing small things to take as gifts. In Syria I met a Japanese visitor who carried a pocketful of tiny origami birds which he would give out to anyone who did him a kindness – guides, concierges, wait staff, bus drivers. Very Japanese, very light, very much appreciated. On one trip to South America I took 200 1penny Royal Mail stamps (picture of the [then] Queen) to give out to kids. No weight, minimal cost, lots of smiles. Also carry pictures of your family if they're not travelling with you – universal icebreaker.

Bravo! On point, concise, really useful info. I've been an expat for 35 years, and I learned a few things I didn't know about. Great presentation! I have already recommend this video to several people.
One of the better travel recommendations vids. Comprehensive, thorough, well-explained. Thanks!
Great viewing.
Keep OTC decongestant tablets with you. Got a cold once when travelling and it was painful as my ears could not equalize when landing despite chewing gum, swallowing….nothing worked. Pain lasted for days, scary stuff
Almost all of these tips only work if you travel a lot and if you do travel a lot you probably already know all this stuff.
My mother in law came up with this. Hotel rooms are often very dry. We went a hand towel or two or do some laundry before bed and hang it in the room over night. Not the bathroom. Use a hanger over the back of a chair, or a lamp, or edge of a table. It may not be dry by morning, but it should be close.
EXTRA $10 for seats up front of the plane….FAKE NEWS. LOST ALL MY RESPECT AFTER THAT BOGUS STATEMENT!!
I think this might be the most helpful video I have ever seen on youtube. Thank you very much!
For checking whether your baggage fits the airline's baggage size, it's always better to check on that airline's website as they may update it and third party sites may not always have up-to-date information on that.
The jet lag defense suggested in this video are spot on. That being said I get up extra early and find me a Waffle House to get breakfast. That gets me up and moving. I also allow an extra hour just in case I over sleep a little. Get up as early as possible for time zone that are 5-8 hours ahead of your time zone and for the love of God when you reach your destination do not go back to your room until at least 9pm local time. You’ll thank yourself later!!!
This was wholesome content.
Tip: Build a Time Machine, go back to the 70s/80s/90s when flying was enjoyable, stewardesses were professional & the entire system wasn't trying to screw you.
This video feels professional.
Love this!
The best travel advice I’ve seen. As an American who live much of the time in France, I travel a lot and knew most, BUT not all the tips and I found no inaccurate tips. I find inaccurate tips a lot. In fact most hacks are bs or marginally beneficial. All your tips are good and accurate.😊
Express VPN is ISRAELI owned.
Really great information.
The Louvre is closed on Tuesday 😢
Option 2 and beautiful on Tuesday, Musee D’Orsay, set in an 1898 train station, even the building is beautiful!!
Couldn't find the Globe Tips App for Android, there's only for iOS.
Get a Charles Schwab card – no credit card fees and reimbursement for atm fees at the end of the month.
Thank you for the tips.
I wonder how we managed all those years ago when we didn't have mobile phones….. People actually talked to each other and asked for directions etc
Great tips, thanks 🙏
Good job! That’s amazingly helpful. 😊
Thanks for the reminder to throw my door lock into my suitcase!
Sorry, but your advice on Expedia is terrible; it makes booking a flight and a hotel dead simple and extremely economical.
If my flight is over night I try to land early to mid morning then get to our hotel.
We like to check in, get to the room and we take a shower (she likes to join me).
We then hit the bed, but not to sleep wink wink 😉.
Another quick shower and out we go for some sunshine ☀️ and lunch or afternoon snack.
Late afternoon it’s back to the hotel, hit the bed again, not to sleep wink 😉 wink 😉. Order room service, eat, talk and bed, for sleep this time. 😂❤
great video man
A tip, know the basic road rules of the country. where im from usa drivers are often killed in crashes on roads. Our Yellow lines mean different rules on the road. It means do not cross. And red traffic lights mean stop, no matter what. there is no yield rules on any red traffic light.
Thank you
Great tips! Thank you Nik & Allie!
A portable bidet is at the top of our list of necessities. Gotta stay clean and fresh.
Best suggestions ever!!!
My wife and I have been travelling worldwide for years and highly appreciate this most comprehensive video.
We have been travelling with carry-on only for extended periods for years. One additional tip for whom the shoe fits – I use one pair of shoes only that fits every occasion and which is super comfortable.

I got totally screwed by Expedia. I called them 6 days before my trip to Bangkok. The agent told me my flights were canceled and I should cancel the trip and buy a new one in the middle of the high season costing much more than the original ticket. He took my credit card number over the telephone and promised to refund the canceled trip. I ended up taking the trip and was awaiting my refund from the first si called trip. After waiting 6 months I found out I was a no show for my first trip and it was never canceled as the agent had lied to me. The airlines told me I could not get any compensation. Expedia even after I told them what happened took no action at all. Since the crooked agent did not use the Expedia software in asking for payment I was totally screwed. Finally, an honest person working for Expedia told me the truth 7 months later. This was a nightmare. I had used Expedia before with no problems. Now I just book myself. I lost $3000.00 ! Even the hotel was double booked and charged me twice. Buyer Beware !!!
Thank you for this
