We sign into the STEP program when we travel which alerts our destination US embassy / consulate in country. Had a heart attack last year in the Galapagos Islands and was Medevaced to Guayaquil on the mainland where I was treated. The embassy sent two staff to visit with my wife offering their assistance and the ambassador followed up with a phone call. It was greatly appreciated.

Cool thought but even a photocopy of three forms of ID and current passport with up-to-date 5 proof of mail residence, and 2-year Visa current may not be enough check your status online using a trusted VPN as many Visa are not currently registered in the new system and you can get petition your local government to get your visa reinstated through a trusted law farm at is taking on these cases.

Here’s a tip: relax.
We always take a photocopy of our passports, put one in our hand luggage, one in our handbag and another one in d hold luggage. Always leave d actual passport in d safe in d hotel.
Anyway, we lost our passports when d bag that it's in, fall off d rented car (bonnet opened whilst we're on d motorway and didnt notice it till late 😢).
Luckily, the photocopied ones were accepted in d airport, otherwise it would have been a complete disaster 😢

This is just a bar code containing your pasport number, which on the bio data page. I don't see how that can expedite anything.

No, the BEST TIP is, hold onto your passport. Always keep it physically upon your person, preferably in a secure, zippered pocket.
Get a passport card when you renew your passport It has the same info If you loose your passport, with card the embassy will have all the info for a new passport

European, UK and Australian passports doesn't have any identification on the last page. Everything is on your main page (the one with your picture on it).
