Thanks for nothing, that was so confusing.
Basically, you need to hire somebody just to use my phone
Wi-Fi calling is free.
Is Capitalism Complicated and Greedy 🥵
You're better off paying a new sim in destination country why pay $5 or $10 roaming plus usage
I really like the comparison, it seems you invested a lot of time into presenting us the options.
Data is not voice calling, when traveling what is the best way to get voice calling abroad using your phone from home?
In what world is $10 a day reasonable so what if we have AT&T an a locked phone
Holifly has poor service. Have been calling about a proble3m, but no answer X8!
can I use my GPS internationally? I have Tmobile
What about Bank verification code or credit card verification code. Will this work or will my bank block it off from receiving it thru text?
Att is mad expensive.
It seems that eSIM is the only option these days.
Should we turn on or off the roaming for only a week
I use a global coverage data only esim like Airalo. Works in 137 countries. I can also use left over data in my home country. I only pay $5 monthly for my local home country carrier. I use the global esim for my data even in my home country since my local carrier plan only includes 200mb of data.
QUESTION: Have you looked into if buying a cellphone plan from a low-cost country (like Mexico, Philippines) and then using that phone in USA?
WhatsApp for phone calls in other countries.
👀
I wonder how fast it is for data in the province in the Philippines?
Complicated and expensive!
I think it's easy to forget that most plans and current phones allow for wificalling! As I understand, you put phone in airplane mode, turn off roaming, then can call text, and receive texts and calls from US if you have wifi access. I know doesn't solve making calls, but in my case, calling texting home is most Importent. Cost =0.
or you can pick a designated country for $15 a month extra when in Europe …in Italy you can do Tim they have 25 Euros a month unlimited
T-Mobile has unlimited plan which is what I have and it's texting is free in Europe anywhere
International Sim Cards are SIM card s which are Sent by Friendship Clubs Abroad permitting Zero Cost Travel to their Country
We are not ATT fans, but we are customers.
You have mis-represented the ATT plan.
Since you have recorded this the plan is now $13/day, but you fail to state that there is a monthly cap on the plan – it is most certainly not $13/day forever.
We have used the ATT international plan all over the world – even in extremely rural Tanzania.
Just turn your phone on when you arrive – no issues.
Hi Kristin, thank you for providing all of this valuable information. I have a question on the eSim. How do I preorder Orange? I get to the check out page and there is no place for a start date. I am travelling next month. Merci beaucoup!
I bought a sim card. for $10 when i arrived. at Paris airport with 10 gb data and. unlimited talk and text. stay away from the big three american carriers they will. rip you. off.
AT&T now $12/day
Thx for the video. I have cricket but they Don't have service in Portugal. I'm going there for 10 days. So can I just get a eSIM card from there and put it in my phone in order for me to send text back to the US and phone calls, and I want to use Google maps while I'm there.
Thx
@0:49 AT&T's daily international pass is now $12
I can rent a car for $10/Day in europe. No talking.🤫
Currently in Cuba visiting my grandma and I’ve been coming here for 17 years and I’m 21 and this is the first time I’ve ever questioned international lines because Ive always gotten services automatically here and i get the area code so I can call and messages to the u.s and here in Cuba. I was very curious of the possibilities of thing you can do with international service even though I’ve experienced the stuff
I am now ten times more confused than I was before.
Well, this was confusing.
Cant stand your voice. Why do you talk like that ?
Excellent tips! thanks!
just an update for AT&T. There is a limit of charging you for international day pass. After 10 days, you will no longer be charged any more then that. I recently called AT&T and they said that even with 2 devices, we will only pay $120 for both phones…for the month.
Most of my friends just buy a SIM card at whichever country they arrive in, but I use an international data plan.
AT&T can get very expensive for 10$ a day don’t recommend that
Airalo discount code GREG7928
BNESIM discount code FJH6K2QW
To clarify, in 0:15 when you say don’t get a prepaid phone, do you mean an actual hardware phone or like a prepaid international SIM like Airalo? Are those good?
