Avoid flying if otherwise, this INDUSTRY TREATS PASSENGERS as if yhey are CRIMINALS!
Both of my hips, knees, and left shoulder are titanium. Is that a problem? They are not removable.
Can hiking poles go through security if needed for walking .
Once, I received a pat down from the knees down. Why? The friend I was visiting had a pet with fleas, I had multiple bites from them. Going through tsa, it set something off so my legs were patted down. Yikes, painful.
I am singled out almost every time I go through screening. I purposely wore clothes with no buttons, zippers, bling, or metal, yet I am made to stand in the body scanner and get a pat-down. I’m 81! I asked the woman why I had to do that. What are they seeing? It was my Depends undergarment. She said there was a “thickening” in the crotch area! That did it for me. I’ll never wear those again. I only wore one in case of emergency since I had gall-bladder surgery which causes diarrhea at the blink of an eye sometimes. I’ve never had it happen, but just the chance of that happening in a plane gives me heebie jeebies.
I always wear a bra with underwire never had a problem
Travelling has become so cumbersome, no wonder I hate flying.
When I dont wear a bra, im wearing my pj's. Wtf. thats what im wearing then.
it's all a violation to me, but I'd rather get frisked than have radiation pouring into my body from the naked machines
I wore a pair of jeans with sequins on the back pockets to and from Florida back in 2009. I was fine going through CVG, but when I flew home from Tampa, I got pulled for them, wanded and frisked, and swabbed for gunpowder residue. They were really nice about it and apologized to me for having to follow the protocol. I was kind and friendly and smiled and I think that can make a difference in how the folks at TSA handle you. Live and learn. I was early enough that I still had some time prior to my flight.
“Some People” can fly to another country (third world) with millions of tax payers dollars in luggage and not be flagged, but my husband, who is type I diabetic is treated like a terrorist because he wore his insulin pump through security. Ugh!
This whole TSA thing s BS. No planes hit the Pentagon. Building number 7 came down. Think people.
At least no more bras with wires
The wigs I wear have bendable metal stays on the ear tabs to help secure them. One reviewer says she has never been stopped. What do you think?
Don’t wear a hoodie at all. I wore a hoodie as a regular shirt and they pat me down.
I dress for my comfort and pleasure never TSA. I let people step in front of me when I need to take off my boots or shoes. I always wear my hair up and let TSA poke through my hair.
I never go through the X-ray machines so I have to wait for a pat down and because of that being over 76 years I don’t get any of the senior privileges with being touched, scanned, shoes left on, etc. It’s worth it not to go through the X-ray machines.
I arrive at airports up to 2 hours before boarding so no matter how long I have to wait for a pat down I shan’t miss my plane.
I also meditate whilst waiting in the line so by the time I reach TSA I am in harmony with them and the rules.
Last time I flew I had a note from my Dr about the pins screws and cage in my spine. TSA was only pulling over those with disabilities. They then put their hands down my pants. This had just happened with my husband co worker that they did the same thing to her. I have not flown since
I usually wear an underwire bra, is that a problem?
I've gone through TSA and scanners multiple times and I always wear an underwire bra.
