First buy your iPhone (8 times the price of my Android)
Try out Journve its top tier
On top of using tile/airtag, make sure you have a couple of days clothing in your hand luggage. The rag will show you where your bag is but if that's a different country, you're still not gonna have your stuff. If you're traveling with someone else, try and mix your clothes between your hold luggage so you each have some clothes or essential items spread between both bags so, if only 1 bag arrives, you have more time while the missing bag is located and sent to you. Just don't pack anything into either bag that is controlled/restricted in your destination. Using credit cards to pay for things as you mentioned is a smart idea for getting the money back. It's not because they don't want the companies messing with their customers money. It is the banks money they'll you are borrowing so it is that they don't want people messing with their money and not to do with the customer.

T-Mobile is awesome for traveling in the US and abroad. Wife and I spent 3 weeks in Ireland and Scotland. Our phones worked fine without any SIM card. But speed is throttled back some.
Just use cash instead of your cards…cash is King!!
No hassles..you just need to prepare money before travel destination..nothing else.

7:23 The Apple adapter idea is ok if you’re only charging one device at a time. I use the Epicka that has 3 USB-C and 2 USB-A for phone, iPad, power bank, and watch.
I just got back from Italy. The only conversion option presented was at the bank ATM. All other taps for purchases were automatically in Euros.
You can download Google translate in whatever language you will need and will not need an internet connection to use it. We do that all the time.

So, your #9 tip sounds good – already figured that one out myself. However, you still need the other one for your additional electronic equipment that you are bringing! Let’s not make this sound too easy and simple! That Apple power adapter or voltage on it does not work with all devices and even if it does, you still need to charge more than one device at a time and you are no magician either!

Seems quite a few of your tips are Apple centric. Please list alternatives for us non sheeple.
Google Lens… I always use Google Translate for translating words and phrases, and it also has a camera button which is actually the Google Lens.

The calculator converter was a new one for me.
Great content Camden. Another one to consider… say you're visiting a high crime city known for pickpockets. Wear a body camera. They're pretty cheap now and are a great deterrent for sophisticated gypsy crime families. And if something does happen, you actually have something to show the police.
With regard to your point #1… You can get around ALL of these extra charges on all sides by taking out a WISE card. This is the best thing I've ever done to eliminate bank charges. And it's free!
(That being said, if you don't have a Wise card, then you are absolutely right about choosing to pay in the local currency.)
