Instead of a hoodie, there’s a superior alternative: Uniqlo down puffy. It’s lighter, packs smaller, warmer, waaay bigger internal pockets 🐮

The OP missed off, install and use a VPN on your phone , that way when you connect to ANY wifi , all of your data is end to end encrypted through the VPN provider.

    Hello Christian!
About your bottle.. Mostly tap water abroad isn't safe, so you have to buy the bottled (plastic) water and pour it over in your bottle. Or do you have other solutions? Thanks!

You’re advising folks to clap upon landing!? ✈️
    That’s so airline cringe.

Otherwise great video. Good advise. ✈️

My husband and I usually have multiple bags to bring on the plane. Honestly we don’t even bring it to the check in counter but leave it in eye sight close to the check in counter on a trolley. That way nobody asks us about it when checking in

As we were flying out of Serbia, we realized that we could weigh our bags at an empty check-in counter and make any adjustments without holding up a line. No more having to carry a luggage scale!

I hate it when my neighbors in the hotels use those Bluetooth speakers. They believe everyone wants to hear their music. WE DON’T! Please use headphones and leave the speakers at home.

Tips like these are 🔥especially when they come from someone who's been on the road for 10+ years. What really helped me go from just reading tips to actually living them was getting the Nomadist Plan on the Triplyte travel app, which generates you itineraries based on your budget and preferences. The bare app didn't change my way of traveling. What's amazing is that the plan comes with The Unspoken Formulas of Cost-Effective Travel as a bonus, and that ebook kind of rewires how you approach travel altogether. It's not just about packing cubes or cheap flights, it's about learning how to travel with intention, feel free on a budget, and avoid the rookie mistakes most guides don’t even talk about. Honestly, if you’re serious about traveling long-term or solo, it bridges that gap between advice and execution.

Great video! I have to add aswell that staying connected while on the go really matters especially nowadays. So i recommend having an eSIM to go. I've tried a few eSIMs like Holafly and Orange. Lately been leaning toward AloOui, just feels simpler.

No need for the bag identifier, just look at the tag and probably not buy a black case. The identifier could help in identifying it easier on the luggage belt though. Everything else pretty good 🙂

Clapping when landing is amateur. What else do you expect the pilots to do? Anyone who claps when the plane lands shows themselves to have a seriously low iq.

Travelling with a hat. Always leave your VERY important things in there (ID, phone, wallet) when you are in your hotel. If you ever have to evacuate quickly. Grab n go.

Keep your phone tethered to your arm with a wrist lanyard. I literally watched a guy on a motorcycle eye my husband’s iphone in Barcelona. He was 100% going to snatch it the second the light turned green. Until he realized it was actually attached to my 6’2” 220lb husband. We are used to phones NOT being a hot commodity in the U.S. but they are in other countries. I also bring locks or locking clips for everything. It’s a pain, but it also means someone isn’t casually opening my bags without me noticing.

I travel a lot as a photo/video creator for a healthcare company (only in the US). Sweatpants with zipper pockets are key! AirTags are def a must. Write in your notes where exactly you parked if you are parking in a parking garage. Screen shot your boarding pass so you don’t need wifi for it to load. Download podcasts and movies the night before on good wifi. Always important to have locations and restaurants saved on Google so you know where you wanna go. I always try to keep at least a camera and lens on me in case my luggage gets lost with the rest of my equipment, I can still shoot. Wear comfy shoes but bring flip flops in the bag. Bring some sort of bag for dirty clothes. Portable chargers are a must, especially for my old ass phone that dies multiple times a day. Get local currency before you leave for the trip if possible.

Taking my old phone but in good condition so if my phone is stolen can have data downloaded onto the old phone. Take a photo of passport and all IDs and give to someone you trust at home in case your ID is lost or stolen can get an emergency ID quicker. Have emergency money and extra cc in safe. Make sure to take at least 2 days of clothes with you on carryon. Learned that the hard way when luggage lost in Brazil for 4 days and we arrived on a national holiday so only clothing store open were street vendors for a business trip!
