My favorite part of Costa Rica so far is the area around the Arenal volcano. I have been there twice. On both occasions, we did the Cano Negro river tour and visited the Tabacon Resort at night. We had lunch one day at a restaurant called Toad Hall, which was located right next to Lake Arenal. One night, we went to a designated observation area where we saw and heard the volcano erupt.

RIO CELESTE IS DEFINITIVELY PRETTY BUT IT IS A STEEP 2K HIKE TO GET THERE AND YOU CAN NOT GET IN THE RIVER AS THE CONTENT OF SULPHUR IS DANGEROUS , SOMETIMES THERE IS A FUNNY SMELL TOO , SO , NOW YOU KNOW

Hi! How are the mosquitos in general in Tamarindo, Huacas and Villareal during Nov-Jan? If I go out everyday, even to the grocery store or soda, should I wear mosquito repellent? I understand I would have to wear it in tours.
