Most reviews go for the big names and sell CFMoto short because the Chinese base. Y’all are BS. @ $8k you can’t compare anything that’s twice the price. It’s a bummer you guys bias the big names and 2 or 3x prices rather than looking at value, warranty and customer satisfaction.
As a previous instructor I learned that journalism is skewed and the journalists I ran into didn’t really know shit about what actual riders and racers look for. Be real, talk facts and be unbiased.
Handy that the Chinese bikes were first in the list so I could fast forward.
I bought a 2024 Transalp XL750 16 months ago. Have 9K miles on it now. Super fun and capable after proper set up. I would have considered the Suzuki DE but the engineers apparently forgot to install a proper chain guide or mounts for an optional piece. Makes absolutely no sense on a bike designed to be ridden off road. WTF were they thinking??

The Transalp, for the price and it's all around practicality, is my first pick. You also know if you take care of it, (or not) It will last forever. it's Honda. Then I think the Tiger 900 rally would be my second place. But you know with it being Triumph, well lets just say it's not a Honda. But if I was strapped for cash I would also be eyeing the MT800 and with it being CF-moto, you may end up spending more in the long run repairing it, or it may be great, and out live the Honda.
I own the Suzuki 800DE and I am very happy with it but I really like the look of V85TT

No. The best adventure bikes are the lightweight bikes, not middle weight. Unless u consider "adventure" as riding on completely paved roads.
Id choose either the T7 or transalp as they have that reliability reputation.Euro bikes look nice and probably perform well but the parts and maintenance will likely be significantly more.

European manufacturing is beyond dogshit, and good luck buying parts in North America. The only thing worse is Chinese manufacturing. The T7 is literally the only bike worth buying on this list. “Hey can I pay 50% more than Japanese equivalents for a bike, have no part support and get a motorcycle I can’t trust beyond a single Ride”, Weill CFmoto, KTM, Ducati, Moto Guzzi, Kove, etc are all for you

After riding the Africa Twin Adventure Sport 2024 for a year, I am not sure I ever want without ES again but finding a do it all, long distance, offroad capable, middle weight adventure bike is turning out to be hard. As it takes me a few hundred km before I am at any place that will allow me some unpaved roads, the bike needs to be able to do a highway day at solid speeds, back roads at speed (think German B-roads), local twisties but also handle well on unpaved roads (I'll never take it to the trials, they scare me)…

My adventure bike is Yamaha XJR1300, 2006, 130,000 miles, looks like a rat bike, but mechanicaly sound, plus it handles better on the road than these wanabee " adventure " bikes for people who ride on the motorway all day with stickers on their ali boxes😂, and it will even take a fat bird easily to keep you warm at night.

YAMAHA IS NOT GOOD
I had about 25 bikes (from mito 125cc to GSXR 750 and 700 Transalp, 1500 Goldwing, 1000 CBR, etc.) but when i tried the 800 Suzuki V-Storm it was for me the revelation: That bike has a perfect weight balance and riding position, protection and power to go far, fast in good confort no matter the condition of the road.
Seat height, ground clearance, center of gravity height, range and finally tubeless.
I won’t ride another bike on road with tubes. Pick up a nail on your way to work and it’s the same job as changing a tire (hard no).
