I sleep on a tatami mattress, I do not think I’ll have much of a problem. However, I actually sleep on two of them. The one underneath is kind of a foam mattress. I roll them up in the morning and put them off to one side.

Thank you for this excellent travel documentary, I was planning on going to Japan I have been a solo Traveler for most of my life, I was lucky to be stationed in Asia and Europe in 70 and 80 with US Air Force At the age of 70 my cell phone skills are bad and my walking capability has declined. Japan is perhaps a little too overwhelming for me,
