I started doing this when you suggested this on your how to pack your personal item video.
Also, last winter, on a full flight, they made anr announcement, "We have a full flight today. We need everyone to place their personal items AND THEIR COATS if they choose not to wear them under the seat in front of them." Then, I saw flight attendants actually pulling coats out of the overhead bins to fit in the roller bags

Most of the “hacks” or “tips” this woman talks about is just pure everyday common sense. Any 10 year old child would know it. Would be nice if she would share something only insiders know.

I guess sometimes “common” sense isn’t so common after all..as a first time flyer at 46 (10 years and dozens of flights ago) I didn’t realize the importance of meds and extra clothes in your personal item, until after I saw your tip a few years back. Now it’s a must-do! Thanks Laurie..you’ve saved my bacon on more than one occasion! I really appreciate your tips 😊
